Welcome to this course in spoken Norwegian. In this course we will give you the necessary start to communicate in Norwegian with native speakers.

This course aims particularly at giving you the crucial words and phrases needed to converse in Norwegian and give a solid foundation for improved language skills. Through easy-to-follow examples we will explore the logic of the Norwegian language and hopefully create a great foundation for you to take your language skills even further. In this course we will also emphasize on vocabulary that lends itself well to the work environment.

Personally I have made it my passion to explore the Norwegian language and the opportunities it gives in story telling. As a journalist and researcher I have dedicated 100s of hours in choosing the right words to convey a message or story. Early on I learned the value of keeping it simple. An intriguing storyline should not have distractions in the form of academic language and phrases that most people are not familiar with. Complicated language may distract from the message you want to send. My approach is therefore to explain difficult things in a simple manner. If you can communicate your content to a diverse group of people, the impact of your subject matter will most probably last longer.

This is a crash course for the absolute beginner. We will emphasize a process of imitation og parroting to get you started in using the language. Copying and repeating the Norwegian words and phrases will give you a great foundation to build upon.
