This course provides a preliminary understanding of the codes, standards, and specifications governing piping systems in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, and power plants. Participants will learn the importance of piping codes, standards, and specifications in the oil and gas industries.

There are several lectures that clearly explain the basics of piping codes and standards. It also provides examples of common piping codes and standards that are used widely. The designation of common ASME, API, MSS, BS, and IS standards is also covered here in the course.

The course also briefly covers what the Process piping code ASME B31.3 covers. It serves as an example of what piping codes usually cover.
