Description
SAC Scriber is a practical, end-to-end course designed to take you from SAC beginner to confident builder across Analytics + Planning. You’ll learn how to design scalable models, build clean stories and planning experiences, and implement the “real world” logic that makes SAC solutions work; stories, calculations, models and data actions.

What you’ll be able to do

• Create an end-to-end SAC solution using models + stories

• Build dashboards using key story functions (widgets, filters, developer panel, top banner)

• Create story calculations (aggregations, segmentation, comparisons)

• Understand core planning features and apply them in realistic scenarios

• Build and run data actions for planning workflows

• SAC Overview: what SAC is, how it’s used, landscape/architecture, and key options (features, calculations)

• Course materials: set up your SAC account, use the provided dataset, and follow the supporting Miro link

• Dataset + platform tour: navigate the platform confidently before you build

• Data modelling & load: create models, load data, understand model types (Account vs Measures), planning vs analytics, fiscal options, public vs private, and when to model via properties vs dimensions

• Hierarchies: level-based and parent-child concepts

• Story & dashboard build: styling, chart choices, and creating a geomap

• Planning features: master/transactional data, planning table tools, version management, currencies, and data action capabilities

• Planning reporting + data actions: create versions, lock periods, seed FTE, and apply drivers (e.g., multiply headcount by salary) for variance reporting
