Join us for an exciting course that will prepare you to enter the film and theatre industries. With real practical demonstrations with a mixture of actors and advice from working professionals this course is ideal for beginners or experienced actors looking to refresh their skills. This course breaks down into two sections. Section one includes insight into a number of acting styles and techniques through practical demonstration classes filmed in a theatre with a talented group of actors of all ages and experience levels. Styles and techniques covered include Stanislavski’s system (sense memory, emotional memory, the magic if, given circumstances), Characterisation (inner monologue, statis), Improvisation and the Meisner Technique (repetition, point of view, third moment). Section two includes advice and practical direction on numerous topics including auditioning, getting an agent, self taping, cvs, headshots, showreels, acting colleges, networking and getting started in the industry. This section also includes an advise section from guest actors, directors and producers.
