This course will help you to lease a vehicle or purchase a new or used vehicle.  We will start by looking at your budget and determining what you can afford and what type of vehicle will be best for you.  You will learn how to research for the type of vehicle that fits your budget and needs.  We will talk about total ownership costs of a vehicle.  We will look at how to get financing (if needed) and how to compare rates.  You will learn about the importance of getting a preapproval from a lender and what that requires.  We will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of leasing, purchasing a new vehicle, or purchasing a used vehicle.  You will learn tips to negotiate with lenders, salesmen at the dealerships, or just the person selling a vehicle on the side of the road.  You will learn about the best time to buy new or used at a dealership.  There is a module about depreciation and how that should affect what you purchase or lease.   All the different types of vehicle insurance will be explained, and you will be able to determine what types of insurance and coverage you need.  You will learn about all the extra fees and charges when leasing or purchasing a vehicle.  If you are planning to buy a used vehicle, you will learn about the importance of getting a vehicle history report and the different types of titles.  Whether you are looking to lease or purchase a vehicle you will also learn about vehicle maintenance and what maintenance schedule is important to follow.  There is a module on state inspections if your state requires these and also a module on vehicle refinancing.  The course closes with a special module on Electric Vehicles as these are becoming more and more popular.  This module will tell you about the advantages and disadvantages of owning an Electric Vehicle.
